Our field training at KATLAW helps prepare you for your CDL tests.
There are three parts to a CDL test. The first part is the vehicle inspection (pre-trip), next you have the basic control skills (backing), and finally the road test (road test). Our instructors millions of miles experience here at KATLAW combined with your dedication as a student will make it possible for you to take your test knowing that you are not only safe, but capable of getting your CDL come "test day".

During your field training here at Katlaw, you'll learn all the basic skills you'll need as a professional driver. You'll learn to properly pre-trip your vehicle, as well in-transit and post trip inspections. We'll teach you to properly couple and uncouple your trailer. You'll learn the various backing techniques from straight line backing to sight side and blind side parallel parking, as well as alley docks. As a Katlaw graduate, you will have the skills you need to be succsessful as a professional driver.
